Abduljabbar Alhamood is a Senior Associate Scientist of Synthetic Biology. He completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Technology Innovation. During his time at BU, Abduljabbar was actively involved in research, developing MATLAB programs for viral and mammalian cell analytics, and supporting the diabetes self-management education program at Boston Medical Center.

Abduljabbar continued his academic journey at Columbia University, earning his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. At Columbia, he served as a Graduate Research Engineer, focusing on understanding the heterogeneous responses of cancer cells to receptor tyrosine kinase pathway targeting using RStudio analytics. Abduljabbar’s commitment to understanding genetic alterations and their role in cancer cell response is a testament to his dedication to the field. He also gained valuable experience in gene therapy and genetic engineering during his two-year tenure with Ensoma’s R&D platform team, bridging his academic lab work at Boston University and Columbia University to make significant contributions in the field of Biomedical Engineering.
